Authentic renovated cosy barn with beams, stone walls, wooden and tiled floors, comfortable lounge area. The kitchen has an oven, hob, fridge, washing machine etc. Bathroom with shower, w.c. and vanity unit.

Own external entrance with small raised terrace area, from where you can enjoy wonderful views of the forest, countryside, mountains and beautiful sunsets.

Ideal for couples for a stress free and relaxing break, taking in the nature of the Auvergne with its wildlife and flora and fauna. There are birds of prey, deer, red squirrels and other forest animals. There are many walks in the area, some which you can commence directly from your gite accommodation. Also an excellent area for cyclists and longer hiking trails.

Champagnac le Vieux with its Boulangerie and bar is only a 40 mins walk away (3km) on the forest paths and a further 10 mins will take you to the swimming lake with its beach area for a well earned rest. We can supply you with detailed walks of this area, or you can just relax on your own terrace or in the tea garden in front of our farmhouse.

Stay any two consecutive nights from October to the end of April for only 220 !

Payment

Deposit - 30% (non refundable) deposit payable on booking. Remainder of tariff is required to be paid 6 weeks before arrival at Gite please.  We accept UK and French cheques, or payment by IBAN (bank transfer), sorry no cards.

Blesle, in the heart of the Allagnon valley, with lovely old stone buildings, church, river and restaurants.
Lavaudieu with its ancient Benedictine Abbey on the river of the Senouire.  It is the sole Roman cloitre conserved intact in the Auvergne.

We can provide you with local maps of the area and it is possible for some of these walks to take place directly from the gite.

Additional Information

  • The Gite is rented on a weekly basis. Arrival 16.00H on a Saturday and departure by 10.00H the following Saturday, unless staying for additional weeks.
  • The supply of bed linen, towels, tea towels, water, electricity & gas are included in the weekly rental.
  • The bed will be made ready for your arrival.
  • Gite front door key can be collected from us at Le Boucharel Chambre et Table d’hotes.
  • We would request that guests leave the Gite as they find it in a clean and tidy condition and any breakages must be paid for before departure.
